Our Story

Some things stay with us for reasons we can't quite explain.

A ticket tucked into a book. A note kept long after the conversation ended. A small object on a desk that has followed you from one home to another.

They are ordinary things, until they aren't.

Juno & Vale grew from an interest in objects like these—the ones that gather meaning simply because we choose to keep them.

We wanted to make pieces that could become part of that quiet collection.

Not souvenirs of a place, exactly. More like souvenirs of a person, a season, a thought, or a version of yourself.

Looking Up, Then Looking Closer

The night sky became one of our first places to explore.

For centuries, people have drawn lines between stars and given those shapes names. Different generations looked at the same sky and found animals, heroes, warnings, calendars, and stories.

We liked that contradiction: the stars remain where they are, but the meaning changes depending on who is looking.

That idea eventually became The Celestial Archive.

Instead of beginning with twelve zodiac symbols and deciding what to print them on, we started by imagining twelve separate records.

Each sign needed its own atmosphere.

Its own chapter.

Its own marks in the margin.

So Aries became The First Spark. Taurus found The Quiet Garden. Scorpio moved beneath The Hidden Current. Pisces entered The Dreaming Sea.

One by one, the archive began to take shape.

Not a Prediction

We don't think an object needs to tell you what will happen next to mean something.

Our interest in the zodiac is visual, historical, personal, and a little mysterious.

A constellation can remind someone of a birthday. A sign can bring a friend immediately to mind. A sentence can mean almost nothing to one person and stay with another for years.

That is the territory we like.

The Celestial Archive uses astrology as a language for making objects—not as an instruction manual for living.

Made for the Shelf, the Wall, the Page

Juno & Vale lives somewhere between a stationery drawer, a small gallery, and an old archive box.

We take references from astronomical charts, printed ephemera, books, diagrams, handwritten notes, editorial typography, and the imperfect beauty of things that have been handled and kept.

Then we bring those references into objects meant for ordinary life.

A print beside your desk.

A bookmark left halfway through a novel.

A notebook slowly becoming yours.

A small piece chosen for someone because you knew, immediately, which one belonged to them.

We want the design to be noticed when you first see it—and still feel right after you've lived with it for a while.

The Archive Is Just Beginning

The twelve signs are our first chapters, not the end of the story.

Juno & Vale will continue exploring the things people use to mark time, remember places, recognize themselves, and make their surroundings feel personal.

Some will begin with the sky.

Others may begin somewhere entirely different.

But they will share the same idea:
